Small charming hotel ranked "3 Tiare" with good quality bungalows, a gastronomic restaurant based on local products and activities organized with the local population.
Bordered on the ocean’s side by a long white sand beach, the rear of this hotel is close from a coral cliff originated by Rurutu’s ancient volcanism.
4 Bungalows (35 m²) each with: a king size bed and a twin bed, a bathroom (solar heated water) and a large deck.
3 larger Bungalows (48 m²) each with: a kitchen corner, a king size bed, bathroom (solar heated water) and a large deck.
Linen supplied, ceiling fans, maid service every day.
WiFi Internet with maximum speed of 40Kb/Sec. Therefore emails only!!
Food: Being an excellent cook, Hélène prepares dishes based on local products from land and sea. Bananas, oranges, litchis, mandarins, papayas, etc. Everything is organic. Even coffee is harvested, prepared and roasted on the island, it is an excellent Arabica.
No menus here, but the dishes of the day are as varied as possible.
TV in the restaurant room.
Yves organizes guided visit around the island, the only way to discover Rurutu simce signs have not been installed yet! Twenty years of listening to the island’s inhabitants to accumulate legends and traditions, but also research in books, on Internet and also with scientists in all specialties made it possible for Yves to write a guidebook (exclusively reserved for his clients). It covers all Rurutu’s angles: geology, archeology, botanic, legends and traditions, politics, daily life, etc.
For other activities, Yves will contact local partners: hiking or horseback riding guides, car rental, whale watching or arts & crafts expositions.
For Hélène and Yves plants are a real passion. They have created a real botanical garden where nearly three hundred species are growing, whether tropical or from temperate latitudes (orchids, bromeliads, anthuriums, birds of paradise, porcelain roses or queens of Malaysia, jade vibe, solandri, jasmines, mimosas, monettes, etc.)
No need for “Ecolabels",
The island is an open air eco-museum,
Where culture is lived every day,
Not a folkloric, but an authentic culture.
