How to reserve your lodging accommodations with TahitiRESA.com
Reservation Procedure
Select a hotel
and send it an AVAILABILITY REQUEST (mailed for free)
Wait for the hotel's reply, it usually arrives within 24h, and in 72h maximum.
If the hotel's reply is: YES, AVAILABLE,
YOU HAVE 3 DAYS TO MAKE THE DOWN PAYMENT AND THIS WAY TO CONFIRM YOUR RESERVATION.
If the hotel's reply is NO, NOT AVAILABLE,
The hotel's Manager may indicate availabilities for other dates, other types of rooms, etc. You can then send a NEW AVAILABILITY REQUEST with these new criteria, or send it to another hotel.
CONFIRMATION OF YOUR RESERVATION (Down payment to be made by credit card to TahitiRESA)
It is always the Hotel that replies directly to availability requests.
In case of a positive answer, the hotel garantees this availability for 3 DAYS.
To confirm your reservation, just pay the down payment with your credit card to TahitiRESA, which will collect it in the name of the hotel. You then agree to enter in a contract with the hotel according to its condition shown on the reservation receipt.
RESERVATION RECEIPT (Balance to be paid directly to the hotel when you get there)
Your confirmed reservation will be concretized by a RESERVATION RECEIPT available in your TahitiRESA private area with the details of reserved services and their prices. Each RESERVATION RECEIPT MUST BE PRINTED, TO TAKE ALONG WITH YOU AND TO GIVE TO THE APPLICABLE HOTEL. The balance indicated on the receipt must be paid onsite to the hotel, according to the conditions of the hotel also indicated on the receipt.
TRANSFERS PURCHASED FROM THE HOTEL: If you purchased transfers from the hotel to go from the island's airport (or port) to the hotel, fields are provided on your receipt to indicate your arrival / departure times to the island's airport (or port). The hotel will acknowledge taking into account the transfers information, thus promising to organize your welcome at the airport (or port) of the applicable island.
TRANSPARENT PRICES AND NO SERVICE CHARGES: All hotel partners have agreed to transmit to TahitiRESA their price and to keep it identical in every way to the prices shown on their individual websites. You are therefore sure of always finding low and transparent prices in TahitiRESA, without any "added margin". Furthermore, TahitiRESA does not charge any service charge to its customers. The objective of TahitiRESA is to offer you a fast, flexible and secured reservation service, even for a trip of several thousand miles.

Frequently Asked Questions
How to send an AVAILABILITY REQUEST to a hotel?
Select the lodging accommodation you wish in TahitiRESA.com
At the bottom of the page of the AVAILABILITY REQUEST form, indicate the requested information: number of adults, number of children less than 13 yo (children less than 3 are free), arrival date, number of nights, type of accommodation, number of persons, meals, transfers from the airport to the hotel.

When reserving your FIRST LODGING, be sure to verify your arrival date

For your FOLLOWING LODGING, verify that your arrival date is the same as your departure date from your previous accommodations!
Then go to the next screens, create an account in TahitiRESA (with a name and password of your choice) and enter the information required.
Verify the last screen, then send your AVAILABILITY REQUEST. This is done for free.
Must we always reserve airport / hotel transfers?
Transfers: In general, we recommend that you purchase transfers between the island's airport to your accommodation (or from the ferries' dock and your accommodation). Indeed ,it is sometimes VERY difficult to reach your hotel accommodation by your own means (taxis are rare, the hotel is sometimes located on a motu (islet) therefore making it impossible to reach, unless you are a good swimmer!).
What is included in the prices?
All prices shown on TahitiRESA are given to us by the hotels and are easily to compare: they include local VAT + Government Tax + Tax on service charge. If one of these taxes is not included, which is sometimes the case for major hotels, it is always mentioned in the frame regarding taxes.
The tourist tax is never included, but it remains low (between 0.4 and 1.25 euros / day / person) and to be paid onsite to each hotel.
In some lodgings (especially those isolated on an islet), breakfast or half boarding is sometimes included.
All included elements and exceptions are ALWAYS clearly indicated in the hotel's conditions, and in the frame regarding taxes.
How to reserve the next lodging accommodation?
To offer maximum flexibility, each reservation applies only to one lodging accommodation at a time. Thus for example, to reserve 4 different accommodations, you must submit 4 availability requests, to be answered by each hotel. You will find all your requests in your account "My BOOKINGS".
Can I reserve my accommodations in any order?
Yes, since each reservation is independent, you can reserve your accommodations in the order you wish. They are then automatically put back in order of arival date in your "MY BOOKINGS", which constitutes your entire itinerary. It is nevertheless more simple to make reservations in the order of your itinerary in order to avoid making mistakes in arrival and departure dates!
Can I have a gap in my intinerary (cruise, staying at some friends' house, etc.)?
Yes of course, with TahitiRESA you do not have to reseve a whole itinerary continuously. This is one of the advantages of reserving your lodgings one by one. This way you can leave gaps in your dates to go on a cruise, staying at friends house, etc.
How long does it take to receive an answer to my availibility request?
TahitiRESA automatically forward your AVAILABILITY REQUEST to the hotel concerned. The answer will reach you by email within 24 and 72 hours maximum. Often the answer takes only a few hours and will reach you during the night.
In case of positive answer from the hotel, you will have 3 days to confirm your reservation by paying the down payment to TahitiRESA, with your credit card. The balance will be paid onsite to the hotel.
What happens in case the answer is: NO, UNAVAILABLE?
When the hotel replies UNAVAILABLE, ilt may suggest availability for another type of bungalow and/or other dates. If you are interested by this proposition, you must submit a NEW Availability Request with this new type of bungalow and/or these new dates. For liability matters, it is indeed technically impossible to modify a previous Availability Request.
What happens if I receive NO ANSWER from the Lodging?
If the hotel does not reply within 72 hours (unfortunatley this may happen!)

This request is automaticallt cancelled

You can then submit a NEW Availability Request for another lodging accommodation.
What are the cancellation possibilities?

Whie confirming your reservation, you contractually promise to respect the conditions of the hotel reserved. Cancellation conditions are indicated on the reservation receipt. Consequently, the down payment is never reimbursed. Depending on the hotels and time remaining before your arrival date, cancellation penalties may apply. In case of cancellation, your credit card will be used as a garantee to apply such penalties.
Can I reserve at the last minute?
With TahitiRESA you must reserve 15 days minimum before your date of arrival. However, we advise you to better reserve 4 to 5 months in advance, because of the limited welcoming capacities of some hotels. In July / August for example, it is not rare in some islands that all hotels are full.
Can I modify one of my reservations?
It is not possible to automatically modify a RESERVATION RECEIPT, but you may make changes by contacting directly the hotel concerned (contact it by telephone or email) to inform it of your modifications Some eventual penalties may apply depending on the hotels, they are indicated on the Resevation receipt. Your credit card will be used as garantee to apply such penalties.
Where are my Availability Requests? Where are my conformed reservations?
Each time one of your availability requests changes status (accepted, refused, no answer, etc.), you are systematically informed by email. The same is true for your confirmed reservations, which are concretized by your RESERVATION RECEIPT. You can view all your AVAILABILITY REQUESTS and your CONFIRMED RESERVATIONS in your private account "MY BOOKINGS", click her to identify yourself.
